Aaron-Carl discovered Laurent & Lewis and believed in their music when only a few people did. While co-producing and remixing their first song in Detroit, he thought that it would be nice to create a small label that would focus more on House, Deep House, Europe and Japan, and less on Detroit and on Hard House and Techno. That's how Cherry Juice Recordings got created.
Detroit House diva and brilliant producer, AC lives in Detroit where he runs Wallshaker Music Inc. His unique ability to cross over between styles like deep house, techno and hard- hitting electro-funk has made Aaron-Carl one of Detroit’s most interesting Electronic Music artists. Laurent & Lewis is an Amsterdam-based duet making beautiful Pop/House music. One (Laurent Chambon [lo'ʁã ʃã'bõ], 1972) is French and grew up in Paris, the other one (Lewis de Janeiro ['luıs dʒi ʒʌ'nejɾu], 1966) has an American dad, his mom is Portuguese from Brazil and he grew up between Holland, the States and Brazil. While Laurent got a PhD in political sciences and then elected in Amsterdam for the Dutch Labour Party, Lewis has been gardner, horse riding instructor, accountant, UNCR inspector, homeless, member of a Christian sect and only white singer of a Black choir.
They met in 2000 and found themselves stuck in a huge traffic jam somewhere between Rotterdam and Brussels: they decided to get married and to write songs together. «Überlove» is the product of this decision, result of numerous concerts and DJ sets in France, Holland and Norway, of musical travels in Europe and Detroit. It is already considered a masterpiece by some, while their first single, "Motion" (feat. Aaron-Carl), was voted best song at the 2007 Amsterdam Dance Event by Dave Clarke and Kevin Saunderson. Their second single, "Just Want To Be Loved", is often found to be already a classic anthem. They are now working on their forthcoming EP.

DjJanine was born in Douarnenez (French Brittany) in 1941, fourth out of five children. Although her singing skills were quite limited (some claim it rains so much in Bretagne because of her), she gets hooked on music at an early age: Jazz, Gospel and Arabic music. Rapidly, Om Kalthoum or the greatest Black American singers have no secrets for her. She moves to Paris early 1960s, where she parties until dawn, has a day job and dances at night. She moves also to Alger, after the Algerian independence where she gets to know the Black Panthers, learns Arabic music and familiarizes herself with a local dish called couscous. She returns to Paris just in time for the 1968 events. That was fun... Strangely enough, she misses the Rock and Punk waves, but gets involved in the electronic and experimental movement. She becomes an underground disco diva, goes through her HiEnergy period and then she is known as the Poitou-Disco-Queen where she co-organized wild rave parties. She did raise her two children, with whom she experiments minimalist Techno, Electro and Trashcore. Finally retired, she plays her tunes all over the world and, needless to say, in various gay clubs. Not solely depending on her success, she takes care of her garden, is busy writing a book on extreme body transformations, and last but not least ... spends time with her husband.

Singer/songwriter Hank Sant'Angelo (aka Hanky Panky) hails from Detroit, Michigan, with his energetic debut single, "Do you want my body?" Using pounding tribal beats to set the backdrop for his seductive lyrics, his unique style blends hi-energy Dance with underground-style House. From early on, Hank has been involved in the dance music scene; performing regularly on Detroit's local dance show "The Scene", interning at Transmat and KMS Records, as well as teaming up with fellow Detroiter Donna Black (Nexus 21, KMS) to form the group Big Bang. Hanky Panky is a nickname given to him from friends and colleagues, based on his outrageous behavior and style. With his debut solo single, Hank decided to make the nickname his new identity. Japanese artist Tamiyo (民世 or タミヨ) has been living all around the world. Born and raised in Japan, not only does she speak Japanese, French, English and Dutch, she is also busy with social sciences (she is working on her PhD), politics, aesthetics, tea ceremonies, dance and, of course, music. She just participated actively in the EP and art installation of DJ Janine and Pierre Marly, «Espace plastique».

Jovanna is a performer, singer and musician from Amsterdam. She is also a proud transsexual and an incredible artist with a presence on stage and her own musical universe. As music journalist Didier Lestrade puts it «Jovanna blew me away! Great productions and songs! This is the best discovery in a loooonnnng while!». Jovanna already worked on Eddy de Clercq's «Sea Sex & Sun» and is now preparing the release of her album on CJR.

A musician and a poet, Motomitsu (モトミツ) is busy with arts and music events organization and also owns an art book shop. He was born in 1977 in Hamamatsu, the Japanese equivalent of Detroit, to a father who designed pianos for Yamaha and was an accomplished musician. Motomitsu literally grew up under his dad’s piano, listening to Classical music and Jazz.
He started programming and composing on the synthesizer he received as a present when he was 15. In his highschool years, he played a whole range of music styles as a DJ: Acid Jazz, Detroit Techno, Deep House, Brazilian music, Rock...
He studied composition and music business in Tokyo and he lived in London to study music. In 2000 he started running café the eel, a creative venue named after Hamamatsu’s specialty, where he organized many events. Although Motomitsu closed the café proper in 2005, ever since then café the eel has been a platform to organize music and arts events.
Motomitsu got very sick in 2003. He also got very depressed, to the point that he couldn’t make music anymore for years to come. When he finally got better in 2009, he sent the music he had made between 1997 and 1999 to Cherry Juice Recordings in Amsterdam, who signed him immediately.
His first Cherry Juice Recordings releases are indeed music actually made at the end of the 20th century. All the original data from the 1990s was subsequently lost, but it had been saved to DAT tapes, from which it was edited and mixed in 2009 and 2010 in Amsterdam, with Laurent Chambon as a co-producer and a number of different guest artists.
Motomitsu is presently organizing artistic events in Japan, in which he combines books, art and music. DJs and musicians from all over the world have been invited to his parties and art exhibitions. He is also working on his first book to be published. Motomitsu shares his time between Hamamatsu and Paris (France), where he is a resident DJ at Les enfants de chœur.

It began as an experiment, discrete solo shows that eventually garnered interest in the independant Rock and even Dance scene. Coming from Bordeaux (FR), Fusée Dorée (aka Emmanuelle) has lived in Amsterdam (NL) for ten years, performed with a band, Children SuMadre, and now featured on different music projects for Cherry Juice Recording.
On stage, Fusée Dorée weaves her loops of vocals, beats, electric guitars and keyboards. Songs are taking shape in this pretty unusual semi-electro set-up. Raw or elaborate, Rock or Dance, Punk or French Chanson 2.0, she delivers a set full of contrasts and the performances are getting more surprising each time.
In French, Fusée Dorée means «golden rocket».
